- We collect only what we need to run the directory: your email to log in, your name and mobile when you view a number or send an enquiry, and basic usage data.
- Your details go to a business only when you send it an enquiry, ask for quotes, or choose to share them.
- We never sell your personal data. We don't use advertising cookies.
- You can change your sharing choice or delete your account at any time, and ask us for a summary of the data we hold about you.
1. Who we are
logiXweb Maps (maps.logixweb.in, “the platform”, “we”, “us”) is a local business directory operated by [registered name of logiXweb, e.g. “logiXweb” / company name and CIN if any], Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. For personal data processed through the platform we act as the “Data Fiduciary” under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
This policy applies to visitors, customers who create an account, business owners, reviewers and our team members using the platform. It does not apply to the websites or apps of businesses listed on the platform — they have their own policies.
2. Personal data we collect
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| You browse the site | A random visitor ID stored in a cookie, pages and businesses viewed, searches, the locality you choose, device/browser type and IP address (used in hashed form for spam and abuse protection). |
| You use “Near me” | Your device location, only after you allow it in your browser. We use it once to find the nearest locality and sort results; we do not store your exact location. |
| You view a business phone number | Your name and mobile number, and your choice whether to share them with businesses you view. |
| You send an enquiry, ask for quotes or contact us | Name, mobile, email (if given), your message and the business, category or locality it relates to. |
| You create an account / log in | Email address, one-time login codes (stored only in encrypted/hashed form and deleted after use), login times, saved businesses. |
| You write a review | Name, email (to verify the review), rating and review text. Your name, rating and review are shown publicly. |
| You list or claim a business | Business details you submit (shown publicly), owner name and contact details, photos and logo, and any proof you share for verification (e.g. GST/Udyam certificate). |
We do not ask for or store Aadhaar, PAN, bank or card details on the platform. Our team will never ask you for an OTP.
3. Why we use your data
- To provide the directory — show businesses near you, remember your locality, log you in, save your favourites.
- To protect business numbers — the short name-and-mobile step before showing a number stops bots and spammers from copying numbers.
- To pass your enquiry on — when you send an enquiry or ask for quotes, we send your details to the business(es) concerned so they can reply. For quotes we share with up to 3 matching businesses.
- To verify reviews and listings and keep the platform free of fake or harmful content.
- To communicate with you about your account, listing, enquiries or reviews (service messages, not marketing).
- To improve the platform — understand which categories and localities people search for, using aggregated statistics.
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, or because you voluntarily gave it to us for a specific purpose (for example, sending an enquiry), as permitted under the DPDP Act. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing already done.
4. Who we share it with
- The business you contact — your name, mobile, email and message when you send it an enquiry.
- Businesses whose number you view — only if you tick “share my details with businesses I view”. You can switch this off any time under My account → Account.
- Matching businesses — up to 3, when you ask for quotes.
- Service providers who help us run the platform under confidentiality obligations: web hosting [e.g. Hostinger], email delivery [your SMTP provider], spam protection [Cloudflare Turnstile, if enabled]. Maps are loaded from OpenStreetMap or Google Maps only when you open a map.
- Authorities — when required by law, court order or to protect the safety of users.
We never sell or rent your personal data, and businesses are not allowed to use your details for anything other than replying to you.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use only essential cookies and browser storage that the platform needs to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep your data
- Browsing history (searches, pages viewed) is deleted automatically after [365] days.
- Login codes expire after 10 minutes and are deleted.
- Enquiries are kept so that you and the business can refer back to them. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Account, listing and review data is kept until you delete it or ask us to, except where the law requires us to keep it longer (for example tax records of paid placements).
7. Your rights and choices
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access — get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct and update — fix wrong or incomplete data.
- Erase — ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw consent — for example, stop sharing your details with businesses.
- Grievance redressal — complain to our Grievance Officer and, if not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
8. Children
The platform is meant for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, store login codes only in hashed form, limit access to personal data to authorised team members, keep activity logs and use spam and abuse protection. No system is 100% secure; if a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as required by law.
10. Business owners and listings added by our team
Business information (name, address, phone, timings, photos) is public by nature and shown so that customers can find you. Our field team adds a business only with the owner's permission. If your business was listed and you want it changed or removed, use “Claim this business” on the page or contact us.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform or the law changes. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell logged-in users by email or a notice on the site.
